Just an observation and/or  opinion ———and worth what you’re paying for it !   But these crossroads have stayed in my mind and on my heart for a long time, wondering about the road taken—or not taken.

During my long life I have lived through shifting ideologies , societal and political controls, and acceptances of the norm——–whatever the norm was at the time.

But it is history, and it can’t be taken back.

EXAMPLES :

1940s/1950s :  white men were in charge, in control , had the power.  (Mostly OLD white men) .

1960s/1970s : blacks found their voice, sought strength in numbers, and moved upward and out.

1980s/1990s :  women , long overlooked, stepped to the plate, demanded attention and recognition, and became a force to be reckoned with.

2000s/2020s :  Hispanics, newly in the USA, realized that hard work and loyalty were greatly appreciated by employers ,  and shared these gifts with farmers, hospitality groups, restaurants, construction crews—–and became entrepreneurs themselves.

Over simplified  ?  Perhaps.

But check it out, and I believe you will find a pattern.

Change is inevitable.  New and different power is just around the corner.  Everything has a season.  Life goes on.

One more observation :   white men still have  wisdom  ,  experience  ,  and the power of proven leadership  ;   blacks have added determination and vision  ;   women have proved themselves more than capable of competing  in a man’s world  ;  Hispanics have pushed  the rest of us to question our own work ethics.

Don’t read more into this than is stated.  It’s quite generalized as there are many exceptions, and many of those exceptions are not positive.  But it is what it is———-and there’s no backing up.

Just remembering——-and thinkin’ .
