9/11………….20 years later and we are taken back. Television, social media, personal contact, private memories, all expressions of loss and sorrow and change that are being remembered. All of you have said it better than I could ever.
So, this time it’s counting the blessings on a dark day of remembering. It is critical to understand that evil must not win, that the good and precious in our world are ever present, and that each of us bears some responsibility for creating the world we want. Just one step, one person at a time………………….
…..seasons: moving from summer to fall, always dependable and appreciated
…..relationships: perhaps not perfect, but needed and relied on
…..pets: the ultimate loyalty and love
…..music: the soother
…..friends: because we choose
…..flowers: ours and others
…..love: someone, something, and ourselves.
…..sports: a simple diversion and fun
…..rain: soothing, cleansing, relaxing
…..books: free at library
…..a brain: to think
…..a heart: to feel
……………….FAITH, because , ultimately , it’s the only answer
Your blessings ? As the hymn says, ” Name them one by one. “
Thanks for uplifting message!
Beautiful thoughts on the many blessings we have every day.
Health, family, a roof over our head, food to eat, and I could go on and on. We are blessed much more than we deserve, but try to be humble accepting these many blessings.
Amen———and amen ! One step at a time, sweet Jesus, just one step at a time .
It is critical……yes it is! We have to work in our circle of influence as Scott Peck says it. I also learned that we have to take care of one another as we do that! You are my dear friend!
We must crawl before we walk and walk before we run. But the crawling is the most important because it starts the process. Love you, BSS !
Abundant, clean water, if we can learn to keep it that way!
Amen to that ! Thanks for reading and responding.
